Musical Beginnings
Born in San Giovanni Rotondo (FG) - Italy, on April 11, 1966, Leo grew up in a family passionate about music and began studying the clarinet at an early age. In 1988, he graduated from the “Gesualdo da Venosa” Conservatory of Music in Potenza under the guidance of Maestro Giuseppe Paolini. During the 1980s, he discovered jazz and the saxophone, quickly establishing himself as a talented musician and collaborating with local jazz quartets, as well as with the Potenza-based Big Band Bill Evans Jazz Orchestra, where he served as lead alto saxophonist and soloist.

He recorded the jazz album Blue Notes (2001) and performed at internationally renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Café.

He has also performed as clarinetist in Piazza San Marco, Venice, at Caffè Lavena, and is the mind behind the Blue Corner Duo, an international vocal project.

Saxophonist and arranger of the entire project, Leo is joined by an ensemble of highly experienced musicians: Rosario De Luca (trumpet and flugelhorn), Peppe Fortunato (keyboards), Felice Di Turi (drums) and Beppe Sequestro (electric bass).
